London Museums
(London, England)

Museumland was originally conceived by Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. With the profit that he made from the Great Exhibition of 1851, 87 acres of land in South Kensington was purchased to build museums and institutions. Today, it is here that many of the city's best museums can be found.

All the museums listed below welcome children and do their best to make their visit fun. Not only do most of them have special interactive displays and educational programmes, but often during school holiday times they put on additional activities especially for children.
